March 2005 - Looking back

November 2007

Fall is here... the leaves are dropping from the trees, and the conclusion of another year is upon us. Thanksgiving will soon arrive with the joys of recognized bounty and giving; and no recognition will take place from other family members of this joyful gift.

I find it disturbing and perplexing that I could spend seven years of my life raising two granddaughters of theirs in my home... not of my bloodline, not of my loins, and not once did I complain. This act on my part is something that causes me to question their ability to give and love.

As we approach Thanksgiving let it be known that we give thanks to a God who takes care of even the smallest sparrow... but will one day pass judgement on those who ignore his gifts.

2007 marches on!

We conclude another Colorado summer in Colorado Springs, Colorado. We are all a year older, and moving towards a beautiful Fall in October. The experimentation in growing tomatoes in the back yard was a success, and the two plants that were transplanted on a whim produced some of the best Green Tomatoes you could purchase anywhere in the produce section.

I am now employed at a local re-entry center (Medium security prison) that houses some of the hopeful punished who will one day be returned back to our community. My efforts in participating in the Peterson Air Force Base Enlisted member rehabilitation program gave me enough introduction skills to be offered this latest opportunity. The compensation is nowhere near that of my prior efforts in the Space community but it keeps me busy and hopeful that in time something will become available that matches my earlier skill sets.

Penny is growing taller, she is also communicating and speaking a bit more. I will upload some pictures of her soon.

20 July 2007 - Pueblo, Colorado - Pueblo Motorsport Park

I have spent the better part of two months twisting wrenches on the Buick Grand National... it has endured the turmoils of assault by vandals (eggs were tossed at it on more than one occassion, mudballs and rocks are constantly found near it), and then there is the 1" golf ball sized "Hail" of Colorado's mother nature that has left it's share of dents all over it.

I drove the Grand National down to Pueblo, Colorado on 20 July 2007 to celebrate an early 46th birthday. I took it down the track four times. A legal venue for me to "drive it" as the Buick division intended.

The air was muggy after recent rain and increased 100+ degree air temps. It seemed to suck the performance out of many of the cars that attended that day. Many owners commented that they were 5 tenths or more slower in ET because of the humidity and heat soaked conditions. The best time out for the car was a 13.77 at 112 mph. Not bad for a car running low boost and a small 50 horse shot of nitrous. The car wasn't "raced" down the track... it was merely driven off the starting line from an idle. Not bad IMO.

Blessings over the house...

A family of Robins took over the entrance door way to our home.

I found solace in the fact that other birds were losing their flock which were situated in the trees surrounding the neighborhood... I would see the remains of their eggs carried away by the wind... tossed onto the asphalt below.

Shortly after this video was taken within two weeks the three offspring successfully flew off to meet the challenges of the world. The nest remains in place in the event the Robins elect to raise another brood before the warmer season is over.

Penny's mother seen....

I haven't seen Penny's mother in well over a year, and haven't heard any reports in regards to sightings of her from anyone in that same time period.

Enroute to a morning appointment on Friday I am at the corner of Nevada/Highway 25 (turning right onto Nevada Blvd off the highway exit) and low and behold I see a motorcycle with a redhead passenger on the back holding onto a caucasian "burley beast" of a man driving his red in color 1970's Honda.

Normally I have a cell phone with me with a camera capability. In this case I did not, and I can confirm that Debi is indeed still alive and FREE in society. She does have a Federal warrant out for her arrest, and she isn't occupying a jail cell. I kick myself now because that license plate on that bike surely could have given law enforcement the details they need to put her in her proper place.

I have yet to hear anything from the in-laws although I understand they recently had a family gathering. I encourage Leland to call me when events like this occur and to put me on speaker phone so I can relay how disgusted I am with them as human beings.

Last day of school - Venetucci Elementary - 25 May 2007

Video's uploaded of Penny's last day of 3rd Grade.

Penny absolutely enjoyed going to school at Venitucci Elementary. Due to the demands of the education system that I reside in the city of Fountain to allow her attendance of that school next year... the home is up for sale.

It is tragic that the home was trashed by her biological mother and her misguided hoodlum friends. Because I had to expend over $25K in repairing the home I cannot reduce the price on it for sale. Not without encurring additional financial loss on my part. My ex wife's actions are the gift that just keeps on giving - all in a negative way. She has negatively affected everything she has been associated with, or near.

I have attempted to seek some sort of connection with Penny's grand parents... and to this date I continue to hear nothing but silence from them.
